MINDSET

Growing up as far back as I can remember I was a person that always questioned things, If the narrative didn’t make sense or resonate with me I would ask myself the question 'does this make sense'? I think having this type of mindset and personality has prepared me well for this world and stood me in good stead for what the matrix has to throw at us.

Where it all began

My love for sport especially (football) was my passion growing up and I was fortunate enough after a lot of hard work and sacrifice i was able to fulfil my childhood dream of becoming a professional footballer. I left home at the age of 16 where i gained a 2 year YTS scholarship and after my first two year professional contract. My career lasted for 18 years. I played in the championship, gained 3 promotions, reached the 5th round of the FA cup twice and played at old trafford against manchester united in front of 75,000 live on TV it was one of the biggest highlights of my career.

Amongst all the joy and success in the early stages of my career, it wasn't all sweet roses, i was dealing with losing my nanna to breast cancer which I can honestly say had the single biggest impact and changed my outlook on life instantly. This triggered my passion for health, wellbeing, holistic healing, detoxification, and plant based nutrition.

Seeing my nanna struggle and fight cancer for a grueling 4 years was awful, seeing her go through all the chemotherapy it took a massive toll on her immune system and she started to lose the battle. It was emotionally, physically horrendous and traumatic for all involved, to see someone you deeply love and care about so deeply, go through something so inhumane and unnatural was a real struggle and a real horrible period for the family. Unfortunately she lost the will and strength to carry on fighting and no one could blame her. The emotions still lay within me today, and i use that pain and sadness as inspiration and motivation to help as many people as possible.

MY PASSION FOR HEALING

I could only turn what was negative, traumatic experience into something positive. That whole experience has shaped me to become a different person, I never wanted to go through or see anyone else experience that type of trauma again.

So my passion for healing and all things healthy began, that experience changed my life for the better. The way I lived my life from that day on was so different. I’m now a self-proclaimed biohacker that is passionate about longevity, cleansing, detoxifying and becoming the best possible version both physically and mentally.

After having some successful seasons in football, I invested all of my money and set up my first nutrition brand back up in 2011 and this is where the birth of Revolution foods began. I set it up with my two best friends which was also a beautiful thing, to be able to change their lives and get them out of jobs they didn't fully enjoy, and to do something so positive fills me with so much joy, to do it with people you love and trust that alone is a great accomplishment.

THE NEXT CHAPTER

Looking back now as I write this, setting up a business driven from both fear and passion was always going to be successful, it’s hard to fail if the intentions and the mission are right. We first set up in my best friends gareth’s garage selling a few ingredients that I use to take. And it just went from strength to strength, with sky sports interviews to national papers covering my story as I was the first plant based professional footballer to do this type of thing.

So from starting up in the garage, we built traction and was able to make our first move to a little shop/warehouse. We then decided to create Raw sport a plant based sport performance & nutrition brand and we scaled that to where we are today we now have three fulfilment facilities and sell to over 70 countries worldwide. I've now departed from Revolution foods and Raw Sport and i'm no longer involved in them.

The next chapter of my journey starts now with the launch of my latest brand TRHS (the real health store) which I’m super excited about, all the past experiences that I’ve gained and inner standing of what people truly need to thrive in this day in age is all captured on this platform and I’m super proud of what I have created and all the hard work is just getting started now.
